The Swiss government backed a proposal to overturn the wartime convictions of people who broke laws then in effect when they sheltered Jews and others fleeing Nazi Germany. “Rehabilitation of people who aided refugees should take place because convictions no longer can be seen as just from today’s vantage point,” the Justice Ministry said Monday.
