The U.S. State Department plans to provide an emergency grant of $420,000 to help clear explosives remaining from the war in southern Lebanon. The State Department announced Wednesday that, subject to congressional approval, its Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement will give the grant to the Mines Advisory Group, a non-governmental organization that specializes in clearing explosive remnants of war.
