The U.S. Supreme Court is slated to hear arguments Wednesday in a case stemming from an action against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. The case dates back to 1989, when a group of former government officials, all known as staunch opponents of Israel, sought to convince the Federal Election Commission to regulate AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobby, as a political action committee. The court’s decision could come down anytime before its term ends in June.
