The U.S. Supreme Court ruled against a New York woman who had sued El Al Airlines over a preflight body search. In an 8-1 decision, the court ruled that the Warsaw Convention treaty, which governs international air travel, does not allow people to recover damages for injuries covered by local law. The woman said she was inappropriately touched by a female security officer during the search.
