The umbrella group for 34 European Jewish student unions elected a new chairwoman. Olga Israel, originally from Serbia, was elected chairwoman for a two-year term at the European Union of Jewish Students’ annual Summer University, which took place in Croatia from Aug. 21-28. Juraj Alexander of Slovakia will serve as treasurer.
