The United Jewish Aid Societies, the family welfare agency of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities, disbursed a total of $31,293 in cash relief during January, it was made known in the monthly report issued by Samuel Rabinovitch, executive director of the institute. The average amount of relief granted per family was $40.53, the report continued. Total direct service cases numbered 1,439 for January.
