The United Jewish Appeal, the Council of Jewish Federations and the United Israel Appeal officially closed down their separate headquarters in New York City and will begin operating in partnership in a single location on Tuesday. The move culminates years of planning to combine the central fund-raising organizations. The partnership is expected to become a complete merger within a year.
