The United Jewish Communities is the highest-ranking Jewish charity on the Chronicle of Philanthropy’s annual list . The umbrella organization of local Jewish federations raised more than $266 million from private sources and moved up to 32nd place from 41st on the list of the Chronicle’s top 400 charities involved in fund-raising.
