The United Nations says there are no imminent plans to revive peace talks between Israel and Syria. A spokesman told the Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv that there is nothing more than a few ideas crafted last fall by the U.N.’s Middle East envoy. U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan also said this week in Canada that there is no formal plan.
