The United States expects a U.N. Security Council decision on Iran sanctions “within days.” “We need to see a vote on this in a matter of days,” State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Monday. Israel, the United States and Europe have been pressing Russia and China to endorse sanctions against Iran until it stops enriching uranium, a critical stage in making a nuclear bomb.
