The United States strongly condemned the military trial of four Palestinians accused of murdering three people in a U.S. diplomatic convoy. The Oct. 15, 2003, bombing of the convoy that included John Wolf, the senior U.S. envoy to the region, soured U.S.-Palestinian relations. Wolf did not return to the region until two weeks ago.
