Speaking to his Cabinet, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday evening that the conference on Palestinian statehood scheduled for next month in Annapolis, is “a trap set by the Zionists†and will not benefit the Palestinians, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA.
Ahmadinejad said that Israel, which he calls the “Zionist regime,†is on the verge of collapse. He added that Israel’s allies could not be fair mediators.
