The White House’s liaison to the Jewish community said Palestinian reforms are a “direct result” of the Bush administration’s policy toward Yasser Arafat. Speaking in Washington on Monday to a gathering of the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism, Noam Neusner said the Bush administration’s decision to isolate the late Palestinian Authority president allowed for moderate leadership to emerge after his death.
