There is no “immediate solution” to the spate of Palestinian ambushes of Israeli settlers on West Bank roads, Foreign Minister Shimon Peres said. “With all due respect, they have to be realistic,” Peres said of the settlers. His comments came the same day that settler leaders announced that armed settlers have begun conducting patrols and escorts along key roads connecting West Bank settlements with Jerusalem.
