There was an official denial here Tuesday of a report that Premier Shimon Peres met secretly last week with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in Paris. “No such meeting took place,” said Peres’ media aide Uri Savir, responding to an exclusive report in the political weekly, Koteret Rashit. The magazine’s staff told the Army Radio that the story came from “a single source” and that it had been denied by the Israel Embassy in Paris.
