Thousands of former resistance fighters from both West and East Germany, Italy, Austria and Eastern Europe participated in commemoration ceremonies yesterday at the site of the Mauthausen concentration camp near Linz, Austria. Some 120,000 Jews and others were murdered by the Nazis at Mauthausen between 1938 and 1945.
