Three people were injured, one seriously, when a car exploded Monday in downtown Jerusalem. A Palestinian man who was driving the car died in the explosion, but it was not immediately clear whether he was a suicide bomber or the bomb detonated prematurely. The seriously injured man was a police officer who had stopped the car for a security check. Israeli security officials believe the Palestinian was on his way to attack a strip of cafes and bars.
