Thuringen Government Resigns Rather Than Dismiss All Jews

The Government of Thuringen rendered its resignation today to the Diet, on account of the demand of the Voelkische Partei for the wholesale dismissal of all Jews in Government positions.

The Diet created a new Government, after a compromise was effected with the Voelkische Partei by an Government to dismiss part of the officials of Jewish origin.

The Republican press is strong in condemning the action of the Diet, declaring that it is against the Constitution to discriminnate against citizens on account of their race. The press urges the Reich Government to intervene in case an anti-Semitic attempt to change the Constituti on is made.
