The Palestine government today announced that $250,000 has been assigned by the government and the Colonial Office in London to extend the two main roads from Palestine to Transjordan.

One of the roads will lead from Haifa to Baghdad, passing through Transjordan. The other road will start from the Allenby Bridge, on the Palestine Transjordan border, and will go to El-Salt, one of the principal Transjordan cities.

The official announcement discloses that of the sum assigned for the extension of these roads, $110,000 has been granted from the treasury of the Palestine government. The rest will come from the treasury of the British Empire, with the consent of the Colonial Office in London.
