Toronto’s United Jewish Appeal has opened its 1962 campaign with a record of $2,049, 550, according to the tabulation announced by Noel Zeldin, chairman of the UJA drive here. The address at the keynote dinner was delivered by Rabbi Herbert A. Friedman, executive vice-chairman of the national United Jewish Appeal.
