A protest against the administration of Emir Abdullah in Transjordania was submitted to the British Colonial Office, it was learned here today.
The criticism was voiced in a memorandum of a group of Transjordanian notables in which Emir Abdullah is charged with mal-administration and medieval practices. The memorandum states that since Abdullah was appointed ruler of Transjordania he has spent £30,000, doing nothing. The Transjordania notables demand that his salary be reduced from £24,000 annually to £5,000 and that the remainder be used for developing agriculture in the territory. Emir Abdullah is now in Palestine endeavoring to bring about a reconciliation among the Arab parties.
