The trial of the workers in the Bobruisk glass factory, Octiabr, charged with persecuting their fellow worker, a Jewish young woman, Miss Barshay, is scheduled to begin on January 15, in the Minsk Supreme Court.
Volosevitch, Vice-Commissar of Justice in White Russia, will preside. Assistant-Prosecutor in White Russia, Michaelov, will conduct the prosecution. Ignatovisky, president of the White Russian Academy of Science, and Konoplin, vice-head of the White Russian University, will be the public accusers.
Eight workers will be called as defendants, five of whom are charged with counter-revolutionary action in their persecutions of Miss Barshay. The other three are to be tried as their aides. Twenty-one witnesses will be called.
