Morris C. Troper, European director of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, today was awarded the Cross of the Legion of Honor in recognition of his leadership in relief activities. Mr. Troper was elected director of the J.D.C. in September, 1938, after having served for many years as controller. He was also president of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
