Jewish residents of Sousse, Tunisian port city, joined several thousand Moslems today in pro-French demonstrations. Headed by native notables and sheiks and preceded by French and Tunisian flags, the demonstrators paraded through the city’s streets shouting “Long Live France! Long Live the Army! Long Live Tunisia!” The demonstrations were directed against recently voiced Italian claims to Tunisia and other French possessions.
