Tunisia Accepts Egyptian Arms Offer; May Affect Status of Jews

The status of Tunisia’s 80,000 Jews was seen jeopardized today by reports received here that the Tunisian Government has accepted an offer of arms from Egyptian Premier Nasser and is negotiating with Communist Czechoslovakia for additional weapons.

Tunisian authorities in the past assured Jews they had nothing to fear. The Tunisian press and radio, however, are increasingly supporting Arab League attacks on Zionism and Israel.
