Turkey Expected to Be Among Last to Recognize Israel; to Be Neutral in Palestine War

Turkey will probably be one of the last states to Recognize Israel, informal quarters here reported today. The Turkish Government, mindful of America’s immediate recognition of the new Jewish state, will follow a neutral policy with respect to the war in Palestine, although up to the present time the country’s newspapers have been consistently pro-Arab, it was stated.
