Dr. Husseyin Yalchin, the Turkish member of the U.N. Palestine Conciliation Commission who resigned from his post, today withdrew his resignation at the insistence of the Turkish Foreign Minister. He will leave within two weeks to resume his duties at Geneva where the Palestine Conciliation Commission is meeting.

Mr. Yalchin’s resignation was prompted by the fact that he was appointed by the Republican Peoples Party which was defeated in the recent national elections. Mr. Yalchin felt that the policy toward Israel might undergo a change when the victorious Democrat Party took office. His return to the Conciliation Commission is accepted here as an indication that the new government will maintain the same attitude toward Israel as that of the previous government.
