The Turkish Ministry of Health has decided to double its subsidy to the Jewish Hospital of Istanbul, it was learned here today.
In the past few years, the government has subsidized the hospital to the extent of 15,000 Turkish pounds. Now it will give the institution 30,000 pounds (approximately $11,000). The decision was taken because of the hospital’s rendering important services to the public health.
