Twenty-eight former members of the notorious Ausclwitz extermination camp staff are expected to go on trial next month on charges of having participated in mass murders during the period 1940 to 1945, according to an announcement today by the chief public prosecutor. Some 16,500 pages of evidence against the accused comprising 75 volumes have been compiled during the preparations for the trial which began 14 months ago and are now almost completed.
