Two Jewish day school students won first place in the Siemens Westinghouse Science and Technology Competition. Shira Billet and Dora Sosnowik of the Stella K. Abraham School for Girls in Hewlett Bay Park, N.Y., won $100,000 in scholarship funds for developing a method to improve thin- film lubricants used in micromachines.
