Two Jewish student leaders in Poland received anti-Semitic messages on their telephones. The threats came during the run-up to Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Poland and during his stay there this week, JTA has learned. The text messages threatened to blow up a Warsaw synagogue and put Jews in concentration camps. The police are trying to find out the source of the text messages, and the Polish Prime Minister’s Office is working to give the case top priority.
