In 1916, two Jewish journalists named Landau and Goldsky were sent to prison in connection with the proceedings against the French evening paper “Bonnet Rouge”. It has now transpired that both these Jews were innocent of the charge brought against them. Yet they are still being detained in prison. The Ligue des Droits de l’Homme has started an extensive campaign to secure their release. The whole of the progressive press is devoting much space to the agitation.
