Two members of a kibbutz drug-smuggling ring pleaded guilty. Kibbutz Gesher Haziv’s Ron Dotan will receive eight and a half years in jail while his wife, Talia, will serve four and a half years in prison after they pleaded guilty to smuggling cocaine into Israel in wine bottles. The kibbutz in northern Israel was settled after Israel’s War of Independence, in part by immigrants from North America.
