Two students have been expelled permanently from York University and one for one year for anti-Semitic behavior. A Jewish student complained that anti-Semitic songs were sung outside his room by the culprits, who had also sent him an anti-Semitic letter. All three are members of the extremist right-wing National Socialist League. They claimed they had been drunk but university authorities did not accept this as an excuse. The names of all concerned have been withheld because the students have appealed against their sentence to the University Council.
