A special advanced course in radio-biology opened today in Israel to train 25 scientists from 19 countries, the United Nations Secretariat announced here today. Directing the course is Dr. Charles Braudo, of Israel, and teaching it is a staff of Israeli scientists, and visiting professors provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency which organized the course in conjunction with the Israel Government.
At the Radio-Isotope Training Center near Rehovot, where the seven-week course will be held, the scientists will study the cellular, mollecular and genetic aspects of radiation. The participants are from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czechoslovakia, Ethiopia, West Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Thailand, Turkey and Yugoslavia.
