The United Nations Economic and Social Council this week-end voted, by 16-0, with two abstentions, to continue the life of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities. It also decided to have the sub-commission meet this year, tentatively from September 22 to October 3.

The sub-commission was asked to continue its work along the lines laid out by the U.N. Secretary-General in a listing of various research projects and action programs on discrimination and minority problems already initiated or being planned by various U.N. organs and bodies and specialized agencies.
