U.N. Secretary-General Trygve Lie today pressed for the immediate functioning of the United Nations Palestine Conciliation Commission composed of representatives of the United States, Prance and Turkey.

It is understood that Lie wants the Conciliation Commission to meet next week either in Paris or in Geneva, in order to prevent Britain from carrying out her threat to come to the aid of Egypt against Israel by supplying the Egyptian troops with arms.
