U. N. Truce Chief Gets Gift from Israel on His Return to U.S.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry yesterday presented Lt. Gen. William E. Riley, retiring UN truce supervisor, with a first century vase as a gift in appreciation for his “efforts in behalf of the cause of peace in the Middle East.” The vase was presented to Gen. Riley when he paid his last courtesy visit to the Ministry prior to his scheduled departure for the United States today.
