U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft included Hezbollah on a list of 46 terrorist organizations. Ashcroft said members of groups on the list, some of which are linked to Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaida network, will be barred from entering the United States. The designation is required to make use of new provisions available to the government as part of anti-terror legislation that President Bush signed into law last week.
