U.S. Grants $100,000 to Weizmann Institute for Research on Cancer

The United States National Institute of Health today made known that a $100,000 grant has been made to Professer Leo Sachs of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, for research on the role of viruses in cancer.

The grant will cover a three-year project. Prof. Sachs and scientists working with him recently announced a discovery indicating a possibility of producing cancer by virus infection of normal cells of mammals.
