U.S. Middle East envoy Dennis Ross encountered a war of words during the third day of his mission aimed at advancing Israeli-Palestinian talks. If the Palestinians “create a crisis over every issue,” Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy said, “it is impossible to achieve peace.” Palestinian officials meanwhile compared Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to his hard-line predecessor, Benjamin Netanyahu.
