Hon. Norman McLarty, Canada’s Secretary of State and Pierpont Moffat, America’s minister to Ottawa, will be the spokesmen of their respective governments at the mass-meeting to be held here on October 11 to protest against the persecution of the Jews in the Nazi-occupied territories, it was announced here today.
The meeting is being held under the auspices of the Canadian Jewish Congress with the participation of the Jewish Labor Committee. Similar meetings will be held on the same date in various other Jewish communities. The Toronto meeting will also hear important messages to Canadian Jewry from the Canadian Government and spokesmen of Great Britain and other United Nations.
