U.S. Mizrachi Women’s Convention Appeals to Eisenhower

An appeal to President Eisenhower to use his good offices “to reaffirm and re-establish traditional relationships of friendship” between the United States and Israel “which have been severely strained in the past few days,” was wired today by the Mizrachi Women’s convention taking place here.

Emphasizing that the convention speaks in the name of 50,000 members, the appeal to the President pointed out that “withholding economic aid from Israel is a precipitate act creating undue hardship for the Middle East’s only democracy. “
