The State Department made known today that Rabbi Nathan A. Perilman, of Congregation Emanu-El, New York City, has been invited to spend three months in Germany to participate in a lecture series on the relevance of religion to social and economic problems.
Rabbi Perilman will leave October 6 with Father Gustave Weigel of Woodstock College, according to the State Department. The two clergymen will be joined in Germany by a representative of the Protestant faith. They will participate together in a series of lectures. The three religious leaders have been invited to’ participate in this project under the International Educational Exchange Program of the State Department.
