Mark Ethridge, U.S. representative on the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine, talked with President Truman today for nearly one-half hour about his mission.
He was accompanied by Secretary of State Dean Acheson who told reporters that Ethridge had consulted with the President to get his views and instructions. Ethridge was sworn in at a ceremony at the State Department immediately following his white House call.
