U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell held his first meeting with a Palestinian official in months. During Monday’s meeting in Washington with Palestinian parliamentary speaker Ahmed Karia, Powell called on Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat to take more action against terrorists, according to a State Department official.
