U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell met with the head of Egypt’s intelligence. Powell and Omar Suleiman met Wednesday to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said Thursday that Suleiman has been “very involved in trying to move progress down the ‘road map,’ progress towards ending violence and getting back to a situation of reduced tensions, where peace talks can proceed.”
