The attitude of the Ukrainians toward the Jews was a subject of discussion at a national Ukrainian conference held here.

In a report submitted on that question by Dr. Kostek Lewitzki, well known Ukrainian leader, he stated that the policy of the Jews recently has been favorable to Poland. For this reason, he stated, political cooperation between Ukrainians and Jews will be possible only when the latter will change their pro-Polish policy.

The Schwartzbard case was not considered at the conference.

Joseph B. Perskie was appointed city solicitor of Atlantic City, N. J., by Mayor Edward L. Bader.
