The project to introduce into Poland’s capital a municipal milk supply, thus depriving a Iarge number of milk dealers, the majority of whom are Jews, of their livelihood, was defeated at yesterday’s session of the City Council by a combined vote of the Polish nationalist groups and the Jewish middle class representatives.
The motion failed because of the vote of the councillors representing the National Democratic Party, the Christian Democratic Party and the Jewish middle class representatives, against the votes of the Polish Socialist representatives, the Jewish labor party, Bund, and the pro-government party.
