The 1951 United Jewish Campaign in Argentina brought a 10 percent increase in the funds raised as compared with the results of the previous year, it was announced here today by Dr. Israel Yagupsky, co-chairman of the Campaign.
Dr. Yagupsky said that the introduction of an “honor tribunal” for those failing to pay their pledges in full or those refusing to contribute brought satisfactory results. He reported the launching of an emergency campaign to collect 100,000 tons of clothing for Israel’s flood victims. The campaign is being supported by the local Kehilla; the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, and various Zionist groups.
